One year ago,
Those of you who followed along with the Friends for Phinney ride remember this Day 12 – Queens Ride/Carls Century. This coming Saturday Aug 2, I will join my Friends for Phinney Team and 3000 others and participate in the Copper Triangle, the ride benefiting The Davis Phinney Foundation. Take a moment and read about Carl. Your support is greatly needed and helps those living with Parkinson’s get through another day. I will continue riding to help find a cure for Parkinson’s. To Donate, Please do, go to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for taking a moment. Happy Wednesday.
My Best to you all
We met old friends and made new ones in Bowling Green, OH. Here’s Tom’s interview with Over the Top Radio:
Leaving Ligonier, 20 miles in and rocking.
Eighty seven miles to go, beautiful morning, keep fundraising folks, were gonna make it.
Sooooo much happened today. We arrived in Amish country.
This was at a Dairy Queen. This is Rosie owned by an Amish man. This is part of most parking lots where they can tie up the horse and buggy.
Living the dream.
Egg and pickle sandwiches with watermelon dessert. Appetizer celery and peanut butter topped with cheddar cheese, mmmmmmmmmm good.
My Nephew Josh, his wife Stacey and my Great niece Emma. In Naperville.
Lovely family. Thanks for being a part of the trip. Scoop it up!
We’ll never forget this stop over at the Peterson’s in Neponset , IL.
Thank you Ed, Pat and Sarah.
What a treat.
Lovely time, lovely day ahead.
We are moving and grooving across this great country. We surpassed the two thousand mile mark today. We are far from done. Our team is solid and we won’t quit. The journey has been tremendous with fourteen days left. Tomorrow we arrive at the West banks of the Mississippi River in Muscatine, Iowa. We have a mission and without your help we will fall short of our goal. Many of you who follow us have all ready given and many more want to help but really don’t know what to do. We need everyone to step up to the plate. We have so many ways to DONATE. We are requesting your support more than ever. This disease deserves your support.
The Davis Phinney Foundation (DPF) is dedicated to serving those with Parkinsons.
We are just four riders that are pedaling hard for your dollars. This is not about us, this is about those who are debilitated with this awful disease. Our very best is being given each day to spread word and the awareness We want you to do the same.
Take a moment and create a way of generating funds. Exhaust you network and tell them you need their help. After riding with Parkinson people and having lunch with several support groups along our path, we understand what The Davis Phinney Foundation needs. YOUR HELP!!! The easiest thing you can do is help us once a day (each email address that you have) for the next three days by going to our website and Vote for Rick. Just for voting we can raise an extra TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS for the Foundation. PLEASE GO VOTE at http://www.safeco.com/about-safeco/community/make-more-happen-vote. The other way is up to you. It’s really simple, DONATE.
